Happy Spoopy day. Went hiking two hours away near North Carolina. Beautiful in the morning mist even though the trail up the mountain had turned into a creek due to the recent tropical storm.
Though the socially distanced hike ended and I went a HS friend's party where no one would wear a mask. Sigh.

Rightly so. It’s beautiful up there and has just about the best mornings out of anywhere in the world. Seeing the morning just curling over the mountain tops, especially with the ground blanketed in leaves, is a real treat after living in Atlanta for several months. I didn’t even mind getting up at 5:30 AM for a two hour car ride.
